7 Signs of Workaholism

Score yourself on a scale of 5 on whether or not the following itemsapply to you.
5 points if it applies perfectly and 1 point if it doesn't apply at all.

  • Trying to devote more time to work
  • Spending far more time at work than originally planned
  • Working to reduce feelings of guilt, anxiety and helplessness
  • Others have told you to reduce my work
  • When work is banned it becomes stressful
  • Lowering the priority of hobbies and exercise to get the job done
  • Overworking harms your health

If you score 4 or 5 on 4 or more of these items, you may be a workaholic.

Workaholics are 2-3 times more likely to suffer from mental disorders

It has been found that workaholics are more likely to experience othermental disorders as well.
According to the research referenced here, workaholics are two tothree times more likely to suffer from mental disorders.

This study shows that workaholism is often co-occurring with OCD,ADHD, depression, and anxiety.
The results come from a very large study of 16,426 adults in Norway.
Whether workaholics are causing mental disorders, mental disorders arecausing workaholics, or whether both are genetic factors, the cause ofthis is still unclear.
However, if you are a workaholic, you may have other mental disordersas well.
