Why are generations represented in the alphabet?
It's only since Gen X that generations have been represented in thealphabet.
Gen X didn't have much of a cultural identity compared to previousgenerations.
So the generation came to be represented by the letter X, whichindicates an indeterminate characteristic.
Later, subsequent generations also came to be represented by the alphabet.
This is why the generations are represented in the alphabet.
Also, Gen Y has another name, Millennials, because they were born whenthe year 2000 was imminent.
At that time, there was a great deal of public interest in the year 2000.
